How good are the loop aliens as a drip stop gadget? Thinking of going to them and some of the tape in your group buy.

It's not something I have relied on. In common with other hardware, it's effectiveness is dependant on its orientation. I prefer the annoyingly low tech cotton shoelace!

If you don't have a shoelace, you can use the loose tail of your suspension, tie a slippery hitch with it, around the suspension. that'll do the same.

Ah yea, I find my current setup of Kevlar cord, becket hitch to Karabiner, to continuous loop at hammock end pretty much covers all weather. Only downside is weight.

Do you need that karabiner in there? Can't you just becket hitch straight to the continuous loop?
(don't think I would rely on a krab to be my drip stop)
