Cheers Gadget, the straps arrived this morning, delighted. Now to blow the dust from the sewing machine and get making.

Trying to decide whether to machine sew or hand sew with the Kevlar cord I have. Not sure machine can take the Kevlar. Hand sewed my first set and still going strong...

I use Gutermann Mara 70.
Originally did faux bar tacks, using a wide zigzag stitch (back and forth, several times).
I now do lines of stitching along the length in a long zigzag,

Thanks Gadget, thats helpful. @R.Lewis I was wondering whether to sew by machine or hand, so I decided I am going to cut the ends off an old set of dd huggers and try both methods to see which I prefer, and so I can make my mistakes on that rather than the good stuff.

Then I shall put them to the test on a little wild camp I have planned for Sunday, happy days.
